Description

This listing is for a PDF pattern, immediately downloadable as a file after purchase, so you can start stitching right away!

Like in many cultures all over the world, the horse has a special place in the hearts of the early Scandinavians – going back to ancient times, up to the present day, where Sweden’s most famous symbol is the little red wooden Dala horse! For this design I took inspiration from an old design, and designed an original zig-zag pattern influenced by some crochet work seen at the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm.

This pattern measures 269 crosses in height and width. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen, it would approximately measure 17” by 17” (43 by 43 cm). Remember that most pre-cut linen pieces are 50 x 70cm, so there is just a few cm on each side left for your finishing!
