It’s been such a long time since I last wrote a blog post here! But I’m planning to keep this up a little more, and that’s not just a new year’s resolution…
So I’ve been busy in my studio, doing quite a bit of dyeing, and getting some patterns ready. The latest one to be released is one that was featured in the last year’s Spring issue of Cross-Stitch & Needlework. Back in 2015 I was approached by their commissions editor if I was interested in being featured in their Spring issue. Now that a year has past since it’s initial publication, I’ve added it to the shop, ready for you to stitch at home!
If you plan to stitch it with Tudor Red, I have some good news: it’s back in stock! One of the colours I’ve been dyeing over the weekend was a batch of Tudor Red. I would recommend approximately 5 skeins of wool to finish this pattern. (update – embroidery wool is no longer dyed or sold by me. Please check out https://www.renaissancedyeing.com in France for beautifully hand-dyed wool threads with natural dyes)
I’ve got my work cut out for me as this week will see me doing a lot of dyeing and designing. There’s some plans that I’m working on that I’ll reveal next month, and even some preparations for projects for very late in the year… but more on that later, first: back to the studio!
Warmest wishes,
Jacob
