If you are on my email newsletter you might have noticed that I do not send out newsletters very often. For some time now, I’ve not enjoyed sending out emails, as the model’s sole purpose appears to be to sell stuff to you. Don’t get me wrong – I love selling my patterns as it makes it allows me to make a living! But I would love to send you more updates about things that inspire me, my progress on my stitching, a song I might be working on, or other things you might enjoy and find interesting. The email format isn’t great for that as I felt I would just be spamming folks with stuff that does not interest them.
And then I realised that Patreon could be such a space for us! There’s the option of having a chatroom session; I can host the occasional Zoom chat, you can ask me questions, and I can answer them in videos.
From now on, you will also get ad-free versions of my videos uploaded specifically for Patreon. There will be sneak-peeks in my studio, and I might ask you for advice and opinions on things such as new patterns or ideas for videos.
Doing what I love doing most in the world (collecting samplers and researching them, doing extensive ancestry research, making music, producing videos) isn’t cheap. If enough folks join the Modern Folk Embroidery (MFE) Patreon page, it will allow me to continue these passion projects.
I have kept the price of joining this Patreon page as low as possible. Two euros per month (or the equivalent in your currency) gives you unlimited access to all of my Patreon. I have chosen not to have tiers so it’s accessible to a wider audience.
If, however, you want to support me more, you can increase the minimum monthly price of two euros to an amount of your own choosing. This article gives instructions on how to do so.
