“How Doth The Little Busy Bee” is a design first published in 2019, and has received an update in 2025. It was named after an Isaac Watts poem from 1715.
For this new version I have updated the booklet with new artwork, and I have included an alphabet and number design with the same width as the main pattern: you can use the letters to personalise your stitching as you see fit, or stitch the design as it was initially designed (with no text).

TECHNICAL DETAILS:
This design measures 107 crosses in width and 94 in height and has 3564 stitches in total. Please see the graph below for size and floss estimates. Floss estimates are based on working with two pulled strands (14 – 18-count Aida or 28 – 36-count linen) or one strand (20-count Aida / 40-count linen and higher). I recommend stitching the backstitches in this pattern with one pulled strand on all counts. It is, of course, up to you how many strands you want to use for your project.
A three-cross greyed-out overlap area is found on the 2nd pattern page to help you find your way. As this is a monochrome pattern, you can stitch it in any colour or colours of your choice. I think it would look great with “Curry Powder”
