Summer Bower: A Primitive Pincushion – PDF Pattern

Summer Bower was originally designed for Lakeside Needlecraft’s 2020 Summer Book, in which it can be found with a host of other designs. This is the first time that the design is available on its own.

The design measures 65 crosses wide and 75 crosses high. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen (or 16 count aida) it would measure approximately4 1/8” by 4 3/4” (10.5 by 12 cm). It has a total of 1571 crosses. Worked with 2 pulled strands, you will only require one skein of your favourite floss.

This pattern is charted in one colour, so you can choose whichever colour you like best. I think it would look wonderful with a subtly variegated floss, such as the threads by Leo & Roxy Yarn Co (which you can find at www.evertote.com in Canada).
