The pattern in this booklet is a re-release of one of my earlier designs, but now re-drawn and provided with new artwork for your enjoyment!

Back in 2013 I visited the city of Stockholm (Sweden), where I had the privilege to view some beautiful museums and stunning collections of textiles and folk art. The collection of the Nordiska Museet (the Nordic Museum) was especially inspiring.

An old felt appliquÈ cushion that I saw there inspired this pattern, featuring a cute couple surrounded by a circular design of tulips and other flowers. The pattern here is my interpretation in cross-stitch, where I have tried to keep true to the spirit of Swedish folklore designs.

This pattern measures 151 by 151 stitches – stitched over two threads on 32 count linen it would measure approximately 9.5 by 9.5 inches (24 by 24cm).
