Description
This listing is for a digital PDF file. Immediately after purchase you can download your file, in either Letter format (used mainly in Canada, the US, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Panama, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and the Philippines) or A4 (rest of the world). A 1-page (pattern keeper compatible) version of the design is also included.
The Quick Quaker is a small Quaker-style medallion sampler, designed for those of us that love those big Quaker sampler but might be a little intimidated by the sheer size of some of the antique examples (or just fancy a fun smaller project). I have designed this pattern to be stitched as a 30-day Stitch-A-Long (SAL) starting on the 1st of April 2026. Each day, we’ll be stitching about 145 crosses – which should be very manageable, and will result in a finished sampler on the 30th of April!
Don’t worry if you can’t keep up or if you fall a little behind – it’s all about having some fun with this stitch, and you can take as long as you need to finish it. But it’ll be a fun period with daily videos on my YouTube channel where I share the daily segments, together with some other (hopefully interesting) Quaker related things!
I have designed this pattern monochrome – but if you look at the 2nd artwork image (also found on the back of the booklet) you will find a 5-colour version. Roxy Floss Co. has dyed a unique set of 5 exclusive colours for this SAL that you can order from the Evertote website in Canada. They also sell the kit with the print booklet, floss, and linen!
Besides the regular booklet (available in both A4 and Letter format – see above for explanation) there is also a 1-page Pattern Keeper version of the design (this has no further information in the booklet and does not contain the bonus alphabet and numbers required for personalising your work – for those please see either the A4 or Letter version). To plan your 30-day stitching I have also included a guide book explaining the SAL and breaking the pattern up in 30 parts (with each day highlighted in red, with the amount of stitching for that day and a tick-box that you can check once you have completed your stitching.
I’m really excited about this project, and I hope you will be joining me on the 1st of April!
TECHNICAL DETAILS:
This design is 99 crosses wide and 126 crosses high and has a total of 4380 crosses. The graph below gives size estimates for a wide range of material as well as an estimation to the floss required. Please refer to the amount of floss required in the graph below. Floss calculations are based on working with two strands on 28- to 36-count linen (14- to 16-count aida). Higher counts use a single strand. You are free to stitch with as many strands as you like.
