Earlier this year I visited Sweden, which left me with a lot of inspiration to work on my own designs. Some embroidered running borders I saw at the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm inspired this sweet little pattern. As it looks both like a star and a flower, I named it Stjärnblomma, which is Swedish for Star Flower.
The pattern measures 65 by 65 stitches. Stitched on 32ct linen over 2 threads it would measure approximately 4 1/8″ by 4 1/8″ (10.5 x 10.5cm)
I stitch all of my designs using The Gentle Art’s beautiful Simply Shaker and Sampler Threads. Stitching with these overdyed threads will give your work depth and beauty. This particular pattern was stitched with Summer Shower -7069.
