Description

For this pattern I used a central motif consisting of eight carnations. The carnation has long been a symbol of divine love in Christianity.

This medallion measures 99 crosses in both width and  height. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen, it would approximately measure 6 1/4” by 6 1/4” (15.5 by 15.5cm). Make sure to check out the rest of my shop to discover some high quality embroidery threads and fine linens.

I stitched mine with Deep Indigo threads on 32 count “Flax” linen, and didn’t stitch the outer zigzag border as found on the pattern.

This pattern would be wonderful stitched as a pincushion, but could be repeated several times to form the basis of a much larger pattern. I could definitely see it stitched on a large cushion.
