Description

This is a PDF pattern, available immediately after purchase in both A4 and Letter paper formats.

This is a pattern inspired by the beautiful traditional embroideries of Norway. I took inspiration from antique samplers, traditional costume, and other embroideries. The pattern features a lovely tree of live, a border found on many traditional costumes, and two sets of alphabets that can be stitched in a variety of stitches.

This sampler measures 87 crosses in width, and  189 crosses in height. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen, it would approximately measure 5 1/4” by 11 3/4” (13.5 by 30cm). It has a total of 5154 crosses, and would require approximately 3 skeins of DMC floss when worked over 2 threads with 2 pulled strands on 32 count linen (or 16 count aida).
