The Deer Sampler

Deer and stars: the quintessential elements that come to mind when most people think of Scandinavian arts and crafts – and this sampler features both! I wanted to design a simple, romantic sampler that felt warm and homely, with a lot of fun elements to stitch. This design is a perfect sampler for those starting out – but is a lovely design for more experienced stitchers also!

Besides the deer, the top half of the sampler features a heart, birds, and two flower pots with a selection of carnations and tulips. You can personalise this sampler by including the initials of you and your loved ones in different places, using the alphabets provided on the lower half.

The Deer Sampler measures 117 crosses in width and 150 crosses in height. Stitched over two threads on 32 count linen, it would approximately measure 7 1/4” by 9 1/2” (18.5 by 24cm). Make sure to check out my shop to discover some high quality embroidery threads and fine linens.
